Painting

We finally painted the living room! It was really hard to get the texture we wanted because we don't have textured walls, so we had JoLynn and Heidi come over and help us. They came over around 8 pm (after the kids were in bed) and we painted until midnight! We were sooo tired! We had the Mama Mia Movie playing in the background and had a lot of fun singing along while we worked. We were almost finish with painting, and absolutely egsausted by the time we were almost finished. We were working on our last wall, and noticed that the color was quite darker. We stopped 1/4 of the way because we didn't know what to do. We ended up just stopping because we thought that the paint had gone bad because it only has a 1 hour time period to get onto the walls.(at least that is what it says on the can, but we had it out for 4 hours) Needless to say, they left, and by morning the wall was the exact same color as ALL the others. We turned on the lights, and OOPS! The wall was darker again! We learned that our hall light doesn't reflect on the "problem wall" therefore, making it darker. So now we have an unfinished wall. Even if we didn't run into this problem, I'm sure we would have stopped early. We were all so tired! I have to say thank you though to JoLynn and Heidi for their willingness, and all their help! Thanks you guys! You are the best!

I have also been made aware that I haven't posted the pictures of our bedroom after we painted it. Soooo...... without further adieu... We painted one wall "Royal Blue" and the others, a light brown. It turned out great! At first I was REALLY nervous using such a dark color, but I have really warmed up to it, and we love it! Matt now actually LIKES being in our bedroom! Before, he didn't like the red, gold, brown look.
