Family Visit

This last weekend, my parents and little brother came out to visit. They drove through the night on Saturday night and stayed all day Sunday. They left early Monday morning to continue their roadtrip to Nauvoo. It was really great to see them again! While they were here, we went to the Air Force Academy. It was really great to walk around and see so many different types of planes. We also saw the church that is on the base. It was a really interesting building. If you look at the pictures below, you can see the interesting structure of it, as well as what it looks like inside.
We left the base right before a HUGE thunder and lightning storm rolled in. It started hailing and pouring rain in a matter of seconds of us reaching the cars. Once we were home, Matt happened to go into our bedroom, and noticed that water was rushing into our bedroom through our CLOSED window. The caulking above the window had broken open, therefore creating a way for water to stream into our room. Luckily we noticed the leak before it got too out of hand. Needless to say, the only damage was a SOAKED patch of carpet, 4 drenched towels, and set of wet sheets. No permanent damage was done luckily.

Once the storm was over, (Colorado has very large storms every day around 3-5 p.m. and then they clear up for a great night) we enjoyed a fun time in the hot tub. The jets in the hot tub were extremely powerful, and were annihilating Matt and Dad. You can see the water from the jets splashing from behind them in the pictures below. Nice tan line on Matt, huh?

Matt's face is even better than his tan line!
