Colorado Update

I truly feel like I have fallen off the face of the planet! I haven't had any access to the internet in the past week, but it seems like it has been forever! Not really having anything to do during the days, makes my days seem to last a lot longer than normal, so not having internet for a week has seemed like a month. I have posted a few pictures of our new apartment, but nothing more than the kitchen and living room. I didn't do more simply because our bedroom was too messy to make its' début! We also have a second bedroom, but there isn't anything in it so it has no interest.

Life here in Colorado is definitely different, but we are getting used to it day by day. We absolutely love our new ward. They are truly the most friendly people I have met. On our first Sunday, so many people came up to us and introduced themselves! We even exchanged info with a few couples that want to double sometime. I have sadly come to find that wards outside of Utah seem to be a lot nicer. Let me explain... In our ward back in Utah, (right before we moved) People were still coming up to me in relief society to ask if I was new or visiting, even after the countless comments and prayers I had voiced. It was really disappointing. I always felt discouraged and I felt as if I had fallen through the cracks. It made it really hard for me to enjoy relief society and feel comfortable there. In this ward, on the other hand, I was bombarded with so many smiling faces and they all wanted to know anything and everything about me; people wanted to sit by me, and they were all extremely friendly. What a huge relief! I was really nervous to start all over again, but this ward has welcomed Matt and me wonderfully. I think the reason for the difference between the two states is the amount of activity going on in each ward. In Utah, we are used to seeing people come and go as visitors, and our wards are much much larger, but in Colorado there aren't so many newcomers. I like the change.

Looks like a nice place. I'm glad your ward is friendly. (: I found when I lived at Brian and Lee's when I was building my house that their ward wasn't so friendly to me and I felt kind of out of it there. A few people were nice, but most didn't know who I was and that I lived with Brian and Lee and the boys. I was in Primary part of the time though so that's probably part of the reason. I was only there about 9 months.
