Recently Parker has been saying and doing more and more hilarious things. I think it comes with growing up a little, but my gosh, he is hilarious.
These are a few of our favorites:
"crap store"- craft store (and he begs to go frequently.. "mama! I wanna go crap store!!! PLEASE!"
"color fork"- pencil
"syrup-up"- syrup
"mottor sicker"- motorcycle
"oopsy- ninin"- oopsy daisy
"scoop over"- scoot over- and we really don't want to correct it. ;)
For a while now, Parker has to say goodbye to everything within sight of the door as we are walking out of it. For example: "bye milk, bye, chair, bye stairs, bye light, bye rosco, bye garbage... see yoo waattor!"
With one of my old purses slung over his shoulder:
P: Mama, I go to school.
Me: okay! See you later!
P: confused look on his face, thinking, really? She's really going to let me go? Precedes to the door, and says "I takey red car. BYE MOM!!
With reverence, Parker said "oh! What a butaful mottor sicker!"
Recently we have been using a lot of the "Love and Logic" techniques (if you have kids and haven't read it, we strongly suggest it.) Parker has started using those techniques on us now too. "How 'bout dis Mama?" and "Mama, you choose. Dis one, or dis one?"
P: I see clouds... in the sky! I can smell clouds.
Matt: Oh you can? What do they smell like?
P: Icky!! Clouds smell icky daddy!
While cleaning up toys the other day, Parker looked at the mess he had in front of him and said "Whew! Hard work!" The way he says it makes me die every time. He really sound exhausted and worn down every time he says it We have NO idea where he picked this up from, but we love it!
One day in particular, Parker had a lot of boogers. He kept bringing them to me, and I would simply tell him to go get a tissue. Later, I went into the bathroom (TMI?) And when I looked at the toilet paper roll, there they were... All seven of those boogies were accounted for, just staring back at me. Little Stink!
Parker has also recently started praying for his best friends (Andrew, Alice, and Hensen) to not have bad dreams at night. What a gem!
We sure love this boy and all his crazy talk!
