5 Months

I can not believe this baby face is already 5 months old! We just can't get enough of Cambri here, at our house. She definitely puts a smile on all of our faces. Cambri has really grown to love her brother, and vice-versa. It's kind of hard to explain because the two of them have always loved each other, but just recently they love spending time with each other too. Parker is much more attentive to Cambri. Whenever baby girl starts crying, Parker is right by her side, soothing her. He is always making sure she has her favorite toys, binkie, blanket, and bottle. He is so kind, and is ALWAYS wanting to help take care of his "beebee sisser"

I watch the two of them play, and it makes me so happy. I look forward to the time when they can interact more, and play together as they grow. I foresee Parker being that big, protective older brother that all girls wish they had. He loves her. I love her. Daddy loves her. We are so blessed to have her in our family.

This month Cambri has made a few milestones!

• Can roll from her back to tummy, and tummy to back. Cambri rolls everywhere now! I will lay her down on a blanket with a few toys, and 10 minutes later, she is 4 feet away! She is much more roll-y than Parker ever was. If I remember right, Parker started scooting just days after learning to roll from his back to tummy, so he skipped the rolling stage altogether. 
• She laughed! FINALLY! And it is an adorable laugh! It's rare to get her to giggle, but she still loves to squawk. She also gets so excited, that she starts shaking her whole body and has a huge grin on her face, trying to get a giggle out, but she just can't. 
• Tried rice cereal for the first time. She absolutely hated it. I'm not going to push it on her, so we will try again in a month or so, and see how it goes! 
• Cambri got her ears pierced! She did really well with it. I know a lot of people will have negative thoughts and comments on the subject, and I would ask that you keep them to yourselves. Thanks. ;)

Cambri loves splashing  and eating a washcloth while taking a bath. She also LOVES to have her bum changed. She can be crying very hard, but as soon as she realizes that we are about to change her bum, she is all smiles again. Cambri is like her mama in that she loves to have her hair played with, and her ears lightly tickled. It is soothing to her, and I catch her playing with her own hair all the time while she soothes herself to sleep.

We have also noticed that Cambri has a deep love for her toys. Parker never really cared for toys and would rather play with a remote or an empty shampoo bottle, but this little lady can't get enough of her toys. She honestly cries if I hold her too much; she would rather be playing. Her little baby doll is one of her favorites, as well as a little pink rattle and teething toy.
