Parker's stats

Now that Parker is a year old, I won't be doing a monthly post about his stats, but I still will occasionally brag about him just a little.

I didn't think it would be possible, but as time goes on, Parker gains more energy. He is such an ACTIVE little kid. He loves to run around outside, and is always trying to escape out our front door. He can open the doors now, so we had to change out a few of the knobs to keep him safe.

Parker recently learned how to fold his arms and be reverent for prayers. Ladies and Gents, this is HUGE! I'm so proud of him! (and it is the most adorable thing ever!)  We've been practicing with him every night, and before mealtimes, and he is a pro now! I love watching him learn, and I love being able to teach my child the important things in life. We tell him a scripture story every night before prayers, and I can only hope that it is clicking for him!

Climbing is something that Parker loves most recently. He loves to climb onto the kitchen chairs, and then onto the table when we aren't looking. He recently climbed out of his crib too. Can you believe that!? He is only 14 months old! Little stinker!

Parker got his very first "real" boo-boo. He fell off of a tricycle at the gym daycare a few weeks ago, and was then the proud owner of a great big shiner on his left cheek. (which still hasn't completely gone away, and you can kind of see in above picture) Since that day, he has gotten several more bumps and bruises. I'm afraid someone is going to think we beat our child! I promise we don't!

We weened Parker from his binkie this last week. It was a VERY hard thing for all of us. It was awful timing. He was breaking through 4 new teeth and we didn't know it. Poor kid was in pain, and didn't have the comfort he was wanting. But I can now say that we are binkie free!!!! This is also HUGE!

That's all for now folks.

p.s. My baby boy gives THE VERY BEST hugs and kisses in the world. Just sayin'....

ba ha ha. Love it! And congrats on the binkie weaning! Sorry about the bad timing, though..
Climbing: my first thought, take him to a playground with a climbing wall! Except he may not catch on as quickly to rock climbing as table/chair climbing. :) Still, he might love it!
Your baby is adorable.

I thought the high energy was just a Jones boy thing... but i've learned that its just a BOY thing! All boys have crazy energy levels and need frequent outlets.
A heads up sistah... he'll only get more energetic. :) But its great when they learn to channel it to do safe/productive/fun things.
You're a good mommy! We love you 3 and miss you guys.
