1 Month

I can not believe Parker is a month old already. It really feels like we just brought him home from the hospital 3 days ago. I'm not going to lie and say that the past month has been all bliss; adjusting to life with a new baby has it hard times, but for the most part, life is amazing! Sleep has become a thing of the past, but in its place, there are tender moments that we will cherish forever.

Parker is growing so fast! He is starting to get those cute little wrinkly rolls on his thighs, and is starting to fill out his clothes. Soon enough, he won't be wearing newborn clothes anymore, and that kind of makes me sad. I love this stage of his life, even the late nights. I love just holding him at night, and cuddling him close. He definitely loves cuddling, and loves sleeping on Matt's or my chest. (one of our favorite things) Parker also loves sleeping on his side. (which is hard, because the nurses told us to stay away from this)

It's so fun to see Parker starting to interact more. Of course, he still isn't doing much, but it is so fun to see him turn his head or widen his eyes when he hears Matt's voice, or sees something to his interest. He loves his little interactive play mat; it's fun to watch him stare at all the fun toys and colors. He also really likes Baby Einstein and Disney music. I catch myself singing along to the songs a lot now. It's kind of embarrassing to catch myself singing about crawling caterpillars! Parker and I spend a lot of our days at home together, singing, reading books, and sleeping!!! LOTS of sleeping! But Matt and I wouldn't want it any other way. We love our little guy!
