EaSTeR TiME

I can't believe it is Easter time already! A family tradition on my mom's side of the family is to die Easter eggs with coffee. This tradition goes all the way back to my ancestors from Switzerland. It may make the house really smelly, but boy are these eggs pretty! I remember, as a child, being squished into my grandma's little kitchen with her, my mom, and a few of my aunts all making these eggs. I have always loved doing them, and I am proud to pass this tradition down to my kids one day.. I might spice it up a bit and try some different colors though! Maybe some pinks, purples, greens, and yellows!
This Easter, we spent it with my parents, and little brother. We went over to their house early in the morning for a great Easter egg hunt, that my mom spoiled us with. Matt really hasn't done a real Easter egg hunt before, so it was really fun to see his reaction to finding his Easter basket, and beating my little brother who is 14 to each egg. He raced around the house, and ended up with the most eggs out of all of us. We now have so much candy, we don't even know what to do with it! Matt seems to enjoy it though! Thanks mom and dad for such a great Easter to remember!

Those are cool. I've never heard of coloring eggs with coffee before.

You are welcome sweetheart, it was so much fun having you over. Matt really was cute the way he attacked the hidden treasures. I sure love you kids. Easter just wouldn't have been the same without you kids there.
