When It Rains, It Pours!

When it rains, it pours, and it was pouring melted ice cream!!! This predicament might sound delicious and fun.... but no... it wasn't. Recently Matt and I have noticed that our milk hasn't been as cold as it usually should be. I turned the thermometer in the refrigerator down last night(making the temperature cooler) This morning however, our fridge wasn't so cool, and our freezer wasn't either. Apparently our lovely, well used, fridge has had its last left over meal placed inside. It has given it's last puff of cold air. It is an older refrigerator, so it is to be expected, but why oh why!? Needless to say, all of our freezer food -including our runny ice cream- is now in the freezer in the garage (thank goodness for extra freezer space!) And our refrigerated items are packed in coolers full of snow and buried in the back yard! We can only pray now that our food will not be eaten by all the curious cats wondering around the neighborhood at night! We are hoping that the cold weather lasts a bit longer to supply ourselves with a make-shift fridge. So for now, we are making the 5 a.m. run to the backyard for our milk! We can only laugh at our situation. (after the frustration, of course!)
