Parker's 2 year post

I can not believe my little boy is 2 years old!!! This last year has been extremely hard, but incredible at the same time. Parker definitely challenges us. He has such a strong personality and is such an ACTIVE little guy, but we love everything about him.

Parker is in the 95% for everything. He is one big boy!

 His hair is as wild as ever, and his smile is still melting hearts. Parker loves to "perform" for people as soon as he warms up to you. He loves to show you his tricks (mainly just jumping, throwing his arms in the air or twirling in a circle until he is dizzy) He can count to 10 easily, and has learned all of his basic shapes and colors. He loves doing puzzles and playing with his friends, Andrew, Alice, and Hensen. (He talks about them all the time.)

Parker has a deep love for music. He loves listening, but even more, loves to sing along to songs that he is familiar with. His favorites are "Teach me to walk in the light", "I love to see the temple", "ABC's", "I am a child of God", "twinkle twinkle", and "popcorn popping on the apricot tree". He will also hum along to sacrament hymns when he doesn't know the words. Parker loves church, especially nursery.

Some of our favorite things that Parker says and does:

• He calls grapes "graves"
• Popsicles are "possy- bockles"
• He walks around the house yelling "mama, where are you?" or "mama, what you do-nin? (doing)  ALL DAY LONG
• a cow says "moooo-ve"
• seals are called "potatoes"
• Parker's prayers
• reading stories in bed as a family

Some of Parker's favorites:

• asking himself what a certain animal says and then answering himself
• playing in any kind of water, especially his little pool
• the zoo/ animals. Elephants and monkeys are his favorites
• spinning.... lots of spinning
• finger painting
• making snakes out of play-do
• reading "the going to bed book" and "how does a dinosaur say goodnight"

We sure are crazy about this kid. 

Parker,

Your daddy and I love you so very much. You have been such a blessing in our lives and have truly taught us to be better people. Children are the best examples, and that is true of you. You teach us new things every day, and we are grateful for your loving spirit. You are such a ham, and love to show off to all of our friends, and we love watching you. You never stop amazing us with all of the new things you are learning and doing. You are starting to talk in full sentences and are understanding so much now. You are such a smart boy. Your heart is so full of love and life. The smallest things seem to amaze you and it reminds us how truly incredible life is. You have such a big heart, and love deeply. We are so grateful to be recipients of that love. You have such an incredible smile that can light up any room, and has touched our hearts so many times. You are so friendly, and love to interact and play with people. You are incredibly polite, and are always saying hello, bye, thank you, please, bless you, and excuse me. Except your "excuse me" sounds more like "foof-fee" It's adorable. You are so tender, and don't handle getting your feelings hurt easily. But when it comes to bonks and bruises, you handle your own. (As long as each bump is accompanied by a kiss from mommy, you do just fine)

Parker, you are one incredible little boy and we feel blessed every single day to be your parents. We love you more than words can express and are filled with joy every day because of you. Happy 2 years little man.
