Holiday Activities Continued

One of our family traditions is to go down "Christmas Street". It's something I remember doing as a really young girl, and it is so much fun to carry that tradition on with my own children. Christmas Street is a neighborhood street that is completely decked out. Every house is lit up with hundreds of lights and each house has a mini billboard with a section of "The night before christmas" story. Because it is in a neighborhood (just one small street/ circle) and we are all driving 2 mph, we decided to let Parker sit on my lap in the front seat so then he could see everything. He was THRILLED! He was squealing with delight at each new house. He loved it so much, we went down the street multiple times in one night. 

 This year, we did the Polar Express with Parker and his two cousins Kaden and Perry (their visit will be posted shortly). Parker was so excited to find his golden ticket under his pillow. He was even more excited to find out it had his name on it, and that it was just for him. We loaded all the boys and us adults up into the car..er.. polar express... and were off! We enjoyed some popcorn and Christmas music while we drove throughout town to see the lights. We ended at the Winder farm for some fresh scones. They were delish! Parker had to sleep with his ticket that night because he loved it so much. I just love this time of year. I love to see the excitement on Parker's face as we make fun memories together as a family.
