Fall Fun

I haven't blogged forever! I think this pregnancy, plus my active toddler have kept me too busy. We have been having a lot of fun though! 

I took Parker to the Living Planet Aquarium and he LOVED it. His favorite things were the colorful frogs, the play area, and watching the workers feed the penguins. It was a great way to get out of the house, and learn more about colors, different animals and aquatic life. Definitely will be going again soon.

Matt and I had the opportunity to take Parker to the circus. It brought back so many fond memories as a child for me. It was Matt's and Parker's first time, and I was so excited to share that with them. We didn't get great pictures because we didn't have the best seats, but we really enjoyed ourselves anyways. Parker really loved all the animals, especially the elephants and tigers. Any time he saw a tiger, he would "rawr" and scrunch up his nose. He is one cute kid and loves to learn about animals. He also got to try cotton candy for the very first time. He was pretty hesitant at first, but as soon as he tasted it, it was game over. We lost the battle of stickiness. He was a complete mess by the time we left.

We did our traditional Pumpkin Patch Pickin' this year. It was a bit different and sad without Brad, JoLynn and their cute kiddos, but we made the best of our time, and are learning to start our own traditions. Parker loved walking around and looking at the pumpkins, but it was really muddy, so we opted to have him ride in the wheelbarrow instead. He got to pick his, and his sister's pumpkins out. Parker loved Baby C's pumpkin so much, he held it and gave it hugs and kisses all the way home. 

 Later in the week, we painted our pumpkins for family home evening. It was Parker's first time using finger paint, so it took him a while to figure out what the paint was for, and didn't really like it on his fingers. Towards the end, he was more painted than his pumpkin! We now finger paint in the bathtub all the time, and he loves making a mess. It's the best place to finger paint! Just wipe it up, wash it down the drain, and then give him a bath! It's a great cold weather activity, and one of his favorites. 

Parker was a skeleton for Halloween, and I'd have to say he was the cutest skeleton on the block. He loved carrying his pumpkin around, and loved collecting candy. Parker figured out very quickly that if he acted cute for all the neighbors they would give him more candy. So at each door, he would get his first round of candy, turn around in a full circle, say hi, and try to go into their house, or ask for more candy. Little stinker! And he got it every time! We only went to the houses on our little street, and he ended up with a very full pumpkin. Matt didn't complain. :)
